 On Leonard Dank:
Founder and President of Medical Illustrations Company, Leonard Dank was Consultant Medical Illustrator to St. Luke's Hospital in New York City and to prominent medical journals. He has received awards from the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, Association of Industrial Advertisers, National Teachers Association and the Society of Illustrators. His biography currently appears in Who's Who in American Art, Who's Who in the East and Who's Who in America.
Coauthor of the medical atlas "Gynecologic Operations", Harper Row, 1978, Leonard's medical illustrations appeared regularly on the covers and as editorial art in leading medical journals, popular magazines, medical books fitness posters and pharmaceutical advertising. Animated films, slide shows and television were non-print outlets for his work.
A graduate of Cornell University and post-graduate study at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School prepared him for a life-time career in Medical Illustration. He is a professional and certified member of the Association of Medical Illustrators.
